A useful assessment to evaluate your suppliers
Factory audit allows a purchasing department to assess if their supplier satisfies their technical, quality, social and environmental criteria. Two different audits can be carried out, technical audits and social audits.
The technical audit refers to quality management and has three objectives:
to evaluate the production capacity of the supplier.
to evaluate quality management system and its efficiency.
to estimate the suppliers' capability to work with your company.
A qualified auditor goes to your factory for one or several days (depending on the size and number of employees) and draws a detailed picture of the infrastructure and quality management, based on ISO 9001 regulations.
The social audit aims to determine whether the factory meets the guidelines of the International Labour Organization. This audit follows the different parts of SA 8000 standard.
